Yesterday we went to the Karnopp Peterson law firm where we met the head of the firm Howard Arnett. We learned about the treaty of 1855 on June 25th.There is over 650,000 acres on the reservation. Over 98% of trust land. There is 5,300 enrolled members in the tribe. 80% of them live near the rez. They have fishing rights. Anadromous fish which are fish that come back seasonally like fall chinook salmon, spring chinook, sockeye salmon, and summer steelhead. Resident fish are those who stay year round like rainbow trout, and Bull trout. In 1957 the Pelton damn and powerhouse and regulating dam was built. In 1964 The round butte dam and powerhouse regulates about 338 mw. In 1982 reregulating dam power house. The pelton dam stands at 204 feet, the Round butte stands at 440 feet high
